Im a photographer & designer and experiment w hundreds of photo editing apps. This is the only app tho that i feel obligated to review.... its clearly created by a talented artist & a complete joy to use. When I use "distressed" to edit my own images, its as if Im working in creative collaboration w a highly talented artist. The end result isnt an edited image but instead, an entirely new piece of art. This app is nuanced & flexible enough that you have total control over the creative process. Also, incredibly easy to use tho I recommend giving yourself time to experiment. Gorgeous textures to layer into your work. Kudos to the developer/artist!!

But needs an update. Its pretty fab!

I like the app, but I just got a notice before I used it that it may slow down my iPhone because the app needs to be updated. Why is that? Im using an iPhone6S+ so its not as though my phone is old.

Great app out of the gate. Love the birds, but would really love to be able to move the bird overlay around a bit and resize as well. A little more control over output size and overlays would be awesome too!

I love this app. Its my go-to app for both light and bold edits. It allows layering and adjustments, so I have control of the process. There are a lot of texturizing apps but this apps textures suit my style. I love it despite its imperfections. As others have noted, the birds cant be moved about. You cannot view before and after, nor can you track your edits to use on other photos. I was concerned that the developer hadnt been upgrading but just saw an announcement that an update is coming soon. Thats great news that is long overdue!

February 2017 and who could believe that there still hasnt been a promised update? Get Prisma and Snapseed for free, and get regular updates to boot! Total fail on the developers part. Its now October 2016, and iOS 10 has been out for a month, was there an update? haha nope. Who are the suckers still paying for this outdated app? TWO YEARS with no updates. The epitome of a lazy app developer. Were on iOS 9 now and this was updated for 7. Fail. I highly recommend Prisma, its far superior to this app and its free AND UPDATED! WOW! ##October 2015## 14 months, no updates. Fail. ***July 2015*** almost a year with zero updates. So lame. ###March 2015### Lack of updates, none since last summer!

Its garbage. It freezes up as soon as it loads. Made all my photos disappear. The idiots
